The copycat app
Copy any dish from the supermarket.
That ready meal you keep buying? Photograph the ingredient list on the back. DishCopy writes the recipe — quantities, steps, the lot — so you can make it yourself. Cheaper, fresher, and as healthy as you want it.

From packet to pan
Three steps, one photo
No searching, no comparing ten recipes that aren't quite the thing you liked. You start from the packet itself.
- 1
Photograph the back
The ingredient list does the heavy lifting — it says exactly what's in there. Add a photo of the meal and we know what it should look like.
- 2
Answer two questions
Some things a label can't tell us. Was it creamy? How much heat? Two taps and it's right. Not in the mood? Skip is always there.
- 3
Cook it tonight
You get a complete recipe: quantities for your number of people, steps in the voice you picked, and a timer where it actually matters.
The recipe
Written the way you cook
Four writing voices, from terse one-liners to a why behind every step. Pick one and every dish you copy is written that way.
- Quantities scale with the number of people
- Metric or imperial, English or Dutch
- Everything editable — it's your recipe the moment you save it
Cooking mode
Readable with wet hands
At the stove your phone becomes a cookbook that doesn't fall shut. Big type, one step at a time, and the screen stays awake.
- Swipe with your wrist to the next step
- Timers where the time genuinely matters
- Ingredients at hand without losing your step
What you get
A cookbook that's actually yours
Copied dishes, recipes you wrote yourself and grandma's pancakes all sit side by side.
Works offline
Your recipes live on your phone. In a supermarket with no signal or a holiday house with no wifi: everything is still there.
Scales servings
From two to five people with one tap. Quantities scale with it, rounded the way you'd write them down.
Everything editable
Less salt, extra garlic, a note for next time. What you change stays yours.
Searches your own book
By name, by ingredient, or by a line from a step. Half a courgette left over? Search for it.
Shares as a PDF
A recipe you send to the family group chat looks like a recipe. Or export everything as JSON for yourself.
English and Dutch
The whole app, including the recipes you have written. Switch whenever you like.
Pricing

Worth knowing
Honest answers
Will I get exactly the same dish?
Almost never exactly — a factory has ingredients you don't keep at home. What you get is a recipe that lands very close, with fresh ingredients instead of powders. In practice most people prefer their own version.
What if the photo can't be read?
Then we say so, instead of inventing something. You get a friendly screen suggesting more light, and that attempt doesn't cost you a copy.
What if the app isn't sure about something?
It asks. And whatever you skip stays flagged on the recipe, so you know what to taste for. An honest question beats an invented quantity.
Do I need internet?
Only to copy a dish — that's where the AI comes in. Everything after that works offline: your recipes, cooking mode, search, servings and PDFs.
What happens to my photos?
They stay on your device. They only travel at the moment you copy a dish, and they're not kept afterwards to train anything.
Can I delete my account?
In the app, in two taps. Your account, your synced recipes and your photos all go together.
Which dish will you copy first?
Think of the one packet you keep reaching for. Photograph the back and see what comes out.
